A lot of places (bookstores, libraries) that get involved in NaNoWriMo host "write ins," or days when NaNo's get together at a time and location to write together in person. Well, considering the diversity of our community, I would like to dedicate this space to one big "write in" for the duration of November! The concept is simple: when you get on your computer to write for NaNo, hop on this thread and check in. If anyone else is on, everyone can strike up a little pow-wow and have a virtual write-in! Any and all discussions are welcome, and feedback/idea swapping is all but mandatory!
It's past 9, I'm exhausted from school, and I still plan on writing at least a few more paragraphs. Does anyone actually update their NaNo stories in an orderly fashion? I pretty much copy-paste whatever I have written at the time.
I've been cranking it out these first few days because I had no idea what our travel plans for thanksgiving are going to look like and I want to have a step ahead of the game.
I tried Faith but I didn't finish it. I do plan on it though. I like Coffee Prince but stopped the end because I felt that the denouement was too contrived
@Andrew Knight, Yeah over all its not bad here. I would like it to be a bit warmer since cold weather makes me extreamly ill. the dry air makes my asthma act up really bad.
Arizona is really nice. the land there is so stunning. Plus my grandmother lives down there.
It's morning here and my son finished his breakfast. I'm trying to get my mind in the right zone for writing this morning. Lol. So far I have almost 8K written in total, but 1,671 words of that were from the virtual write-in prompts. It doesn't count towards my official word count, but it helps me keep on track for now until the last few days of the month.
Morning here too, and I'm recovering from pumping 2500 during work... looking forward to my bed soon! Whose prompts do you follow? I follow NaNo on twitter exclusively for the word sprints prompts
@Andrew Knight, I follow NaNoWordSprints for their prompts. They've been incredibly helpful and they are preventing me from getting blocked when I write
At first I was doing well, but as I get farther into the month, I'm starting to fall behind. I try to write a chapter a day, and try to make them at least 1,600 each, if not more.
@Hopeful Writer 123, Oh no! Writer's block likes to strike at the most inconvenient of times. I'm about 600 + words into my chapter for today but it's a little slow going.
I'm right there with you guys, I tend to write in huge spurts and then fizzle out completely. I'm about 4,000 words down on the day, but hopefully I will make half of that up by tonight
So far I have 1,696 words written. I plan on doing some more NaNoWordSprints on Twitter but my baby needs me right now. So I suppose when he's asleep, I will be working on it.
That's the only time I can get any writing done, either after Penelope's bedtime or if I can crank something out during her nap. Too much going on otherwise.
