Sounds like a good year so far. I didn't know they had Sixth Grade in elementary schools. I remember mostly keeping to myself in Sixth Grade and the rest of Middle School. I think I was The Dork! X)
Same situation happened in my twelfth grade. Yes, I sure did talk to all guys but you get it right? Not all were 'friends'. As lucky as I was, a few guys had the same interests as me (music, bodybuilding, discussing about mysteries:P) and we all clicked into place on the second day!
One time, my teacher let us sit wherever we want at the begining of the year. So of course everyone sat with their friends, but that's what she wanted. You see, Mrs. G wanted to see how well we worked when we sat next to friends and then decided where to place us. It was all apart of her plan, which she admitted to us. Almost as well placed as my sophomore history teacher's "outburst" about gum. Basically she put on the act as a tyrant to show how somethings don't actually get written the way they were supposed to. My friend was terrified of her for weeks even though he knew that she was acting. Great actress she is.
She seems fun! Our teacher did the exact same thing(well almost). She asked us who our friends were , making it seem as if to decide the seating plan accordingly, and then went on to carefully assign us seats as far away from our friends as possible. I was stuck with the dorkiest dude in the class for the entire year, in the midst of complete strangers left, right and center.
