Dumb question, but I'm extremely curious. If the virus is, let us suppose, likely to spread like corona, is it gonna be worse or...better? I mean, I know it's a virus but I still wanna know.

Do you mean with a different virus? It depends on what kind of virus it is. Too many factors can affect the burden and severity of a disease, also the timing.

@Coco Caramello, Okay. I don't want to see another Covid. But it's out of our hands. Generally speaking, many other coronaviruses do not infect humans, and isolation and social distancing worked relatively well with a virus like SARS which is more lethal but only contagious when the patient is symptomatic. However, it's very challenging to control if a virus is transmissible without symptoms (like Covid). Also, the RNA virus is unstable and more likely to mutate, negatively affecting vaccine development.

@AIKEN, Exactly, I'd hate another quarantine, exams for which I prepared by giving up sleep to get postponed, especially that😭It's somewhat frustrating how the second you hear the situation's becoming good, somehow from somewhere a new virus is coming. I'm not a medical student and I could only imagine going through a pandemic in novels and movies, but experiencing the real deal is just a terror in itself. When I try to read news about all this IDK which language they're talking in. Your short blogs/articles are easy to read and thanks for responding!!
