@bunnybear, do you do brazilian jiu-jitsu or something else? also, grey is a kids rank, and other gyms have different kids ranks because in bjj, you can't get the next adult belt until you're 16.

@MarkTwain2.0, hmmm. i thought i do bjj, but we don't have kids ones. you don't have to be a certain age to get a belt as far as i know.

we have, white, yellow, orange, green
then i don't the order. maybe i do the other one...

I don't know! My sensei just calls it Jujitsu!

@bunnybear, there's Brazilian and Japanese. And most gyms have different belt orders and stuff.

@bunnybear, was there striking or no striking in yours? also, like i said before, your gym could just have different youth belts.

right so i feel like i'm out of my depth where i shouldn't be.

striking? like... hitting? we normally start with an attack, then build up a technique and link to other things that we've learned. attacks can be hits, yes, if that's what you mean?

@bunnybear, yeah, striking=hitting. in brazilian jj, there is NO striking, but there is in japanese. bjj is more like wrestling, kind of. (chokes, armbars, throws, etc)
