Dear Jessica,
Today, at lunch time, everyone had been dismissed, so everyone left our lunch table. Everyone except me and Jensen, that is.
So, Jensen and I were making jokes about our teachers, right?
We were having such a good time, until our classmate Sarah walked to the lunch table. I didn't mind Sarah walking to our table, but the horrible, HORRIBLE thing is that Sarah bought her best friend, Fanny.
If you don't know who Fanny is, Fanny is my old fake friend from 4th grade. Fanny talked bad about me amongst the other group members and told them all to ignore me, just because I was the only girl in the group that wasn't White.
I know 4th grade was almost 3 years ago, but if you ask someone else who knew me around that time, you'd know how much pain I felt before I moved on.
So, in 4th grade, Jensen, Sarah, some other girls, and I were in a friend group, along with Fanny. Fanny would always gossip with us.
I always knew gossip was wrong, but I really wanted to hang out with my friends. Jensen, however stood up to Fanny about this.
I'm not telling the rest of. the story as it is VERY long.
Back at the lunch tables
So, me and Jensen were at the lunch tables, we were BOTH aware of Fanny.
"Hi," Jensen awkwardly greeted
Jensen, WHY?
"Uhm," I said to Jensen
"I'll go put away my lunch box."
I couldn't even look at Fanny.
I walked to my backpack.
Jensen followed.
"Jensen said following me." "Why did you leave?"
I put my lunch box away.
"Was it because of her?" Jensen asked
"I don't know." I shrug. I walk away.
After lunch, when everyone lined up, Jensen tells me,
"I asked Fanny, 'What do you think of Vivian?'"
WHY.
..."And Fanny said, 'oh, me and Vivian had a huge fight."
Guess what! Here's the truth: Fanny was getting too toxic, so I cut her out of my life for two years.
Best,
Teagain
