Obsession ate me alive like a parasite inside my body, clouding my judgment.It shape shifts taking multiple forms each consuming me in different ways.

Perfectionism:

You can be better. 

You must be better.

These words ring in my ear, like tinnitus. 

Anxiety:

Did I make a mistake?

Do they hate me?

What if I’m wrong?

These words paralyze me, like an injury to the head.

Existential thoughts

Who am I?

Why do I exist?

Why did God decide to make me human?

These words haunt me, like a moth to a flame;

 hovering constantly.

Obsession kills, Obsession was my worst mistake.
