Poems <3 - Insecurities

Pointing out things you don't like about yourself

They say what you see on the internet isn't real but you can't help but compare yourself to everyone else

I'm too fat so I'll eat less

I'm too skinny so I'll eat more

So now you're back at the point which you were before

I mean it's the logical thing to do right?

Right?

Despite the fact that people call you beautiful and pretty

You think that pity you

" You've gain weight"

"You need to eat more"

The things they've said spiral in your head

While you cry on the cold vinyl floor

You're like a lifeless corps

Weeping until your body is aching and sore

You feel like you've been here before

Smeared makeup and eye bags as big as a Ohio

Not knowing what to do with yourself

Feeling as if you belong in a psychiatric ward

Aboard the train of Insecurities

It never stops so you'll get dizzy

Hundreds of thousands of people in misery

But the catch is you wouldn't even know

No one notices until it's them

Body dysmorphia and nausea

Who'd knew you'd end up this way

Slowly decaying

More like withering away
