"It is time." The man announced. His voice bringing fear into their hearts. A suffocating type of fear, that dark voice that you hear in your nightmares. The one that echoed in your mind, long after you woke.
"It cant be time already, can it?" Brenda's voice shaky, and fearful, as she looked to her husband, who mirrored her expression of horror.
"It is. Accept it and move on with your pathetic life… He's at home, right?" The man asked in his dark voice. Phil tried to glare at him, but failed, he was still too shocked from this turn of events.
"He is, but, could we have the rest of the day at least?" Phil pleaded with the dark man. Who looked dissatisfied with his request, but at the same time happy that he was scared of him.
"No." The man told him, growing even more impatient with the couple. Brenda got a panicked look, and thought of something fast.
"Please! Or…" She stoped, looking at Phil apologetically, she closed her eyes. "Take me instead." She offered trying to glare at the man. Phil, snaped out of his stupor and looked at her, he is about to object, before the man interrupted.
"Already settled for a deal like that before, not interested." The man barked, his voice becoming deeper, more frightening.
"Please, just till midnight!" Phil begged, the man took a threatening step toward them.
"Give me a reason why I shouldn't kill both of you and just take the boy?" The man asked darkly, and out of thin air a figure in a hood stands between the man, and the couple.
"You wont touch them." The hooded figure told him, he has a deep, and powerful voice, immediately commanding your respect, and attention, he is wearing a black robe, with a hooded cloak, under the hood he is glaring at the man, who sends back an equally angry glare, recognizing the hooded figure.
"And, what? This pathetic weakling Bondeshire is going to stop me? Please, I'm not in the mood for jokes." The man taunted him, sending an evil smirk Bondeshire's way.
"Whatever it takes." Bondeshire responded simply, before summoning a double bladed weapon from thin air, he got into a fighting stance, and the man rolled his eyes.
"I don't feel like slaughtering you… You two can have your precious time, but I will come at midnight for the boy." He disappeared into a dark portal that he formed moments before, which vanished instantly as he left. Bondeshire banished his double blade.
"You're welcome." Bondeshire said, turning around to face Phil, and Brenda, who are surprised but smile at him gratefully.
"Thank you for tha-" Phil started but was interrupted by Bondeshire.
"Shut up." Bondeshire ordered, growing irritated already. He fumbled around in his pockets before pulling out a Silver cross necklace. "Give this to the boy. Its a gift, from his mother." Bondeshire told them, Phil took the necklace, and stared at it.
"It feels... Powerful." He stated, Bondeshire nodded.
"It is. Give it to him, and tell him the truth. I would do it myself, but it's too painful." He muttered. Phil frowned
"Will you protect him down there?" Phil asked Bondeshire, who grunted.
"Of course I will. When I see him, I expect him to know about what happened. I expect him to know who I am." Bondeshire told them, Brenda looked down at the ground.
"Its really over. No more lies." She muttered, Phil placed his hand on her back in a comforting way.
"This situation is not ideal, but we must all deal with the hand we are dealt. The boy is no longer your concern. I thank you for taking care of him." Bondeshire told them, Phil glared at him.
"So that's it? Its all over just like that? Just say goodbye? We spent ten years raising him! And now it's over?" Phil demanded, Bondeshire glared at him. A deadly look in his eyes.
"He's my son. Not yours. The only authority you had over him was false, and it is over. We agreed that once this happened all custody would be relinquished." Bondeshire told them, Brenda glared at him, tears flowing down her face.
"He is our son, he has been for ten years! And what will happen to him? Are you going to raise him?" Brenda asked, Bondeshire shook his head.
"No. He will go to Apex Spirit Complex. To further train and hone his abilities. He will officially be a Ward of the State. And sent wherever he is needed." Bondeshire told them, they gave him a pitiful look.
"You can't do that!"
"I can do whatever I please! I fucking protected him! I ensured he had a family! I ensured that this didn't happen until he was ready! Now I will decide what is best for my son!" Bondeshire yelled, Phil and Brenda shrunk with each word. Bondeshire sighed, and looked around. "Give him the necklace. Tell the truth, or else." Bondeshire ordered. He held out his hand and a grey mist formed a portal. He stepped through, and it shut behind him.
Meanwhile at the house Zack and the others were all hanging out.
"Get back here faggot!" Jarcus yelled, he was chasing Dethunter around the table. Stacey was just watching them with a bored look. Zack and Janice sat on the recliner together watching Rhyme, May, and Kathrina play Sorry.
"You bitch." May muttered, Kathrina shrugged. And gave her a look.
"Its just a matter of luck May." Kathrina reminded her, May shook her head.
"No. This is rigged. There is no way that I can just randomly get all the useless cards, and you get all the good ones." May said bitterly, Rhyme placed her hand in front of her mouth, like she was laughing, May glared at her. "Oh, shut up you Mute." May ordered, Rhyme shot a playful glare at her, and stuck out her tongue.
"But that's... That's not a thing. She can't shut up, because she can't talk." Kathrina reminded May, who just shrugged.
"I don't need your logic to defy mine." May muttered, as she drew another card. "Cunt fucker!" May screamed as she got a twelve when she needed a one or two to get out of home.
"So, what are we going to do today Zack?" Janice asked him,he shrugged, and looked at her.
"What do you want to do Jan?" Zack asked her with a small smirk, She rolled her eyes and got up, he gave her a wounded look.
"I want to go somewhere, do something!" Janice exclaimed, Dethunter stopped running, and stood beside her. Jarcus smiled at Stacey and stood beside her. Zack got off of the recliner, and stood next to Janice.
"You know what, me too." Stacey chimed in, coming up to them.
"But where would we go, and what would we do? We're boring." Dethunter told them, Janice rolled her eyes.
"You just have a pessimistic attitude." She told him, he shrugged.
"Maybe..." He trailed off, checking his phone. "Oh, Oliver just texted me! Should be over soon." Dethunter told them, Jarcus smiled.
"Dope! Whatever we do, we should for sure include him." Jarcus told them.
"True. But Janice, what do you want to do?" Zack asked her, she shrugged, and smirked at him.
"Its your birthday, you tell us." She told him, Everyone looked at him expectantly, he rubbed the back of his head.
"Well... We could go Larping?" Zack suggested. Dethunter, and Jarcus smiled. Stacey rolled her eyes.
"Fuck yeah!" They both cheered. Janice tilted her head.
"What's Larping?" Janice asked, Stacey laughed.
"Live Action Role Playing. You were on vacation the first, and last time we played it. And we sucked." Stacey added, Jarcus shrugged.
"I think we did well. You may have sucked, but that's just because you're a girl." Jarcus said, with a smart ass smirk. Stacey turned red, and smacked him upside the head.
"True. Girls can't do athletic things. Except for Toni, but that's because she is butch." Dethunter told them, May stood up.
"Excuse me fucker, but aren't we forgetting the last time we Larped? Who killed you?" May taunted him, he glared at her, and grumbled something about her being a bitch.
"Is it really dangerous?" Janice asked, Zack shook his head.
"No. There's quite a few rules to protect you. And all the weapons are soft. Don't worry, I'll protect you." He told her, she smiled sweetly at him, and kissed him on the cheek.
"Thank you Baby." Janice told him fondly. Zack smiled at her, Dethunter rolled his eyes.
"You guys aren't going to act all lovey dovey right? Cause it's kinda sick." Dethunter asked, Jarcus smirked at him.
"Is only guy here without a girlfriend." Jarcus retorted.
"I'm Asexual anyway." Dethunter shrugged, hands in his pockets. Janice rolled her eyes.
"You're not. But you are at the same time. You can't reproduce without a mate, so you aren't. But you also aren't sexual at all, so you're right. But I'm sure you'll find someone. Someday at least."
"And I'm sure all the guys would love a bear like yourself. Score yourself a nice little twink." Jarcus suggested, patting him on the back, Dethunter flipped him off.
"Fuck you."
"Do it, bitch."
"Anyway! I'd be up for Larping again." Stacey told the group. Kathrina, and Rhyme stood up. Rhyme looked around, scared. May noticed this, and put her hand on the younger girls shoulder to comfort her.
"Don't worry Rhyme. Just stick with me, and you'll be fine." May assured her, Rhyme nodded, and inched closer. May smiled, and looked back to the group.
"Let's do it! Janice, could you get your chauffeur?" Zack asked, Janice nodded, and pulled out her phone. She dialed a number, and after a few rings her chauffeur answered.
"Yes, Miss Witnornde?" He asked, Janice giggled.
"I've told you a thousand times to just call me Janice." Janice said with a smirk.
"I apologise. What do you need Janice?" He asked.
"Could you get the limo, and come to Zack's house?" Janice asked.
"Of course. Your limo I presume?"
"Yes, Quincy. Thank you. See you soon!" Janice hung up, Jarcus shook his head.
"Still fucking dope you have a limo and a chauffeur." He said, Janice smiled sweetly at him.
"Just a normal rich girl right?" She teased him, he shrugged.
"Not normal. Most are conceited cunts." He said, Dethunter nodded.
"True true. Most women are cunts in general though." Dethunter added, every girl stared at him. Zack shrugged.
"What now?" May asked, grabbing him, and pushing him into a wall, he laughed, and shrugged.
"Not you of course. Or Toni. Definitely not Toni."
"You say that like she can hear you." Kathrina said, Dethunter shrugged.
"She told me that if I ever included her in the same class as people then she would rip my asshole out through my nostrils." He informed them, Rhyme looked sick, May laughed out loud.
"That's great! When can I meet this girl?" May wondered aloud as the door opened. Oliver walked in. Short blonde hair and dark eyes, and a green shirt under a dark grey hoodie.
"Hey guys. Sorry I'm late. What's going on?" He asked, walking up to the group, with a slight smirk.
"Big orgy. Like, with Satan, and children burning. You know, the usual stuff." Jarcus supplied, Oliver nodded.
"What the fuck are we waiting for? Let's get it on." He told the group, everyone laughed except for Rhyme, Stacey, and Kathrina. Rhyme couldn't laugh, Stacey was religious, and hated to joke about that sort of thing, and Kathrina just wasn't amused.
"Nah, we're all going Larping." Zack told him, Oliver lifted his eye brows.
"That's fucking awesome! Let's go right now!" He exclaimed, Janice shook her head.
"Can't right now. Limo isn't here yet." Janice told him, he shook his head.
"You are definitely my favorite rich person." He told her, Janice smiled proudly.
"She's definitely my favorite rich person too." Zack said, pulling Janice to him, she pressed up against him, and kissed him.
"Wait? You two are together now?" Oliver asked them, Zack nodded. Oliver smiled and high fived Zack. "That's fucking awesome, congratulations." He said, Zack nodded.
"Thank you." Zack thanked him, as Janice's phone rang, she answered it.
"Hello?"
"I'm outside Janice." Quincy informed her, she smiled and hung up after telling him they would be right out.
"Let's go!" She exclaimed, everyone cheered, and filed out of the house. Getting in the Limo. It was black with pink pinstripes along the sides. Zack locked the door behind him, and Janice stayed beside him. They walked together to the limo.
"You having a good day so far?" Janice asked him, moving her hands behind her back, and linking them together.
"Amazing Janice. Are you?" Zack answered her, with a smile. Janice smiled brightly, and wrapped an arm around him as they walked.
"Of course. I've got you." She answered him, as he let her inside the Limo first, she smiled at him. She sat down next to Stacey who smiled at her. Zack got in and sat next to Janice, looking around.
"Where do you want to go now?" Quincy asked curiously. Janice hummed and looked to Zack.
"Where is it Zack?" Janice asked the boy, who leaned forward.
"Its called Winniplex Castle. Should show up on a GPS." Zack informed him. Quincy typed it in, and smiled.
"'An adventure in another land, a Live Action Role Play Extravaganza.' My, it sounds exquisite." Quincy stated as he drove off, towards Winniplex Castle.
"Spoiled little rich girl I swear." May muttered with a grin. She was messing with things. There was several rows of Cds to listen to. And a rack of Dvds to watch. It even had a mini fridge with drinks inside. May pulled one out and started to drink it.
"You know you love it." Janice told her with a smile, May nodded. Jarcus leaned back with a sigh.
"I'm excited. Been a while since we did this."
"You're going down." Dethunter told him.
"Like you did last night." Jarcus replied lazily, Dethunter nodded.
"True. That was a good blow, do it again tonight." Dethunter said, Janice shook her head and looked to Zack.
"Our friends are gross." She told him, he nodded.
"They're assholes, but they're our assholes." Zack told her, she laughed at him.
"I thought I was your asshole!" May exclaimed, Zack sighed. Meanwhile, waiting at the Winniplex Castle two people, a brother and a sister were talking.
"Why'd we have to come here?" The sister asked, her brother gave her a look.
"At least it was after Kelsi left. She'd be so disappointed." He said, his sister shrugged.
"I can just imagine it. 'Tanner, Miranda, don't leave me!' That'd suck, I love that girl, she's awesome. Didn't she move to Precipice?" Miranda asked, Tanner nodded.
"Yeah. She did. We just happened to come here around the same time." Tanner told her, she nodded.
"Why did we come here again?" Miranda asked in a bored voice, crossing her arms. Tanner sighed.
"You-Know-Who sent us. Bosses orders. We have to intercept, and take Zack to her." Tanner told his sister, she sighed loudly.
"Who is this Zack guy? Some big wigs son?"
"You could say that... I wouldn't though. Disrespectful." Tanner informed her, she sighed. She hummed, and looked under the collar of her shirt.
"Well then."
"What?" Tanner asked, Miranda looked at him, and sighed.
"I forgot my bra this morning." She told him casually. He visibly recoiled.
"How do you not notice this until now?" Taaner asked, bewildered. She shrugged, and un folder her arms.
"Didn't have time to, some fucker pulled me up at four in the morning, and insisted we come and wait here. Why didn't we just go to his house?" Miranda asked, Tanner sighed.
"Bosses orders. She wanted him to start dating Janice." Tanner told his sister, she made a sound of understanding.
"Why?"
"I don't know."
"Why?"
"She didn't tell me."
"Why?"
"I don't know."
"Why?"
"Are we really going to play this game right now?"
"Why?"
"Miranda..."
"Why?"
"Would you stop it?" Tanner demanded, raising his voice slightly, she looked at him, with a blank look. Before smirking.
"Why?" Miranda asked with a sickeningly sweet smile, Tanner threw his arms up and walked away from her. She widened her eyes and followed him as a Limo pulled up. The entire group got out, and made their way into the castle.
"I'm going to penetrate all of you. Just saying." Oliver announced, Dethunter smiled.
"Looking forward to it. Right after I tongue punch your stink hole." Dethunter told him, causing him to laugh. They arrived at the front desk, and Janice and Zack got their tickets.
"Okay. So, we have the entire place for the next three hours. Damn Janice, being rich helps. So, teams who's got who?" Zack asked to anyone who answered.
"Why not like last time?" May suggested. Last time they played two games. One where it was boys versus girls, and another where they went against other people.
"No. Sorry, but whatever happens, I'm staying with Janice." Zack told them. Tanner walked up to them.
"Excuse me, but we could play against you. Me, and my sister." He suggested, Zack gave him a look.
"Our entire group against you and your sister?" Zack asked, Tanner nodded. Zack looked to the others, who shrugged. "You're on." Zack told him, Tanner smiled at him.
"Good choice. See you on the Battlefield... Domino." Tanner said, walking out the back of the room, where you got geared up before going into the large clearing, and small forest that was located behind the castle. Miranda waved at the group sweetly before skipping away, following her brother.
"Were gonna kick their ass, this is going to be so easy." Jarcus told them confidently, as they moved into the room on the other side. They all got geared up.
Zack chose a simple sword, Janice did the same, but she chose a lighter version. Jarcus chose a large two handed sword, Stacey chose a staff with foam on the end of it. Dethunter chose a large foam hammer. Oliver chose a staff also, opting to be a ''Mage' with Stacey. The others chose various weapons and headed out. Before they entered the play area, Zack turned to them.
"Okay, plan is to move in pairs. Don't group up, it wouldn't be fair. I'll be with Janice, the rest of you can do as you please. Stay strong out there." He told them, before offering his hand to Janice, she smiled and took it. Zack smiled at her and ran off with a war cry. The others laughed as they watched Zack and Janice run into a forest.
Jarcus and Stacey grouped up, as did Dethunter and Oliver. May, Rhyme, and Kathrina stayed together. They moved out. Dethunter and Oliver were walking carefully, they felt like they were being watched.
"I feel like someone's just going to pop up and- Fuck me!" Oliver yelled as Miranda ran up, and stabbed him in the chest, effectively eliminating him. She out weight on her sword against him, and shoved off, doing several flips, before landing nimbly on her feet, she turned her head to Dethunter with a sweet smile.
"Can't catch me!" She taunted him. Dethunter looked to Oliver, who was lying on the ground with a smirk.
"I'll avenge you brother!" Dethunter yelled, Miranda squealed, and smacked her ass before taking off, Dethunter tried to keep up, but as soon as he saw her leap up, and grab a branch, he gave up. Miranda laughed as she swung herself around before jumping to another tree, she planted her feet against it, and grabbed the trunk, leaning off of it in a dangerous way, as she watched Dethuner look around for her.
"Having trouble keeping up?" Miranda taunted in a sweet voice, he looked up and saw her, his jaw dropped.
"How the fuck did you get up there?" He asked, She giggled.
"Spirit. Enhances your abilities. Look out!" She called pointing past Dethunter, he turned around and she dropped from the tree, she grabbed his shoulder, and held herself up, she stabbed him in the chest with her foam sword. She pushed off of him, flipping in the air, she nimbly landed on her feet. He just stared at her dumbfounded.
"The fuck?" He asked, touching his chest, and staring at her, she smiled at him.
"You're dead." she sang, before running away, at almost inhuman speeds. He just stared after her, and walked off to find Oliver. Tanner moved quickly, seeing his targets. Jarcus and Stacey. He moved fast, advancing on Jarcus, who had his back turned.
Jarcus tensed up, and turned around, holding up his sword just in time to block Tanner's strike. Tanner had been using his speed to give himself more force, so then they clashed Jarcus fell back from the sheer force of the hit.
"You're good. A lot of potential in you." Tanner said, in a calm, collected voice. He was holding a light sword. Jarcus looked at him, and it. Tanner was a twig, he shouldn't have hit that hard with that sword.
"How the fuck did you hit that hard? Its literally against the laws of of physics." Jarcus said, in a dumbfounded voice, Tanner smiled at him.
"Spirit. By the way..." Tanner trailed off, looking between him, and Stacey. "You've got your colors all mixed up." He told them, Jarcus looked at him.
"What are you talking about?" Jarcus asked, standing up, and brandishing his sword. Tanner smirked, and held his sword loosely in front of him.
"Break my defense, and I'll tell you." Tanner said, confident in his posture. Jarcus took a breath, and charged him. Expecting to be victorious, only to find that Tanner had anticipated his move, and blocked easily. With a cocky smirk on his lips. "Have to be better than that." Tanner taunted him, before he kicked him in the leg and pushed him back before Jarcus knew what happened.
"You see that?" Jarcus asked Stacey, she shook her head as she helped him up. He sighed, and walked forward. Tanner loosely held his sword in front of him. Waiting. Jarcus rushed him, attacking about fifteen times, Tanner blocked them all without moving. He only flicked his wrist, and blocked them all.
"Don't think so." Tanner said, before hardening his gaze, and flicking his wrist again, he ended up knocking Jarcus's sword out of his hands, and poking him in the chest with the tip of his sword. "I win. You learn nothing." He said, before moving and poking Stacey also, with the barest of effort.
"So, we both just got killed." Stacey wondered, Tanner flashed them a smile, and took off faster than humanly possible.
"Well... Fuck." Jarcus muttered, looking to Stacey. "Wanna go make out?" He offered, Stacey shrugged, and followed him towards the castle.
"Rhyme, how you holding up?" May asked, as the young girl clung to her arm practically to keep from getting lost. Rhyme shrugged, with an unsure smile. Kathrina sighed.
"Did you get us lost?"
"No..?" May trailed off, scratching her cheek.
"This is a small forest how the fuck did you get us lost?" Kathrina demanded, May shrugged.
"I wasn't really paying attention to where we were going. I kinda zoned out." May told her, with a small smile, Kathrina just blinked.
"You're an idiot." Kathrina told her, a sword slid across her chest, and she looked behind her to see Miranda with a big grin.
"Got you!" Miranda yelled right in Kathrina's ear, Rhyme glared at her, and threw a ''fireball' at her, Miranda shrieked, and knocked it away with her sword. "Oh, you bitch, come here!" Miranda yelled in a frightening voice, Rhyme got a deer in the headlights look and hid behind May, who glared at the approaching Miranda.
"Back off slut." May said in a authoritative voice, Miranda laughed at her in an insane way.
"No thank you. I don't get sexually aroused." Miranda told her, moving fast she saw that May wasn't defending herself properly, and went for the kill. Rhyme panicked, and pulled May back, to avoid the strike.
"Thanks Rhyme!" May exclaimed, Rhyme nodded, and pressed up against May, so she could kick her feet. Rhyme grabbed hold of May's wrists. May gave her a look, but Rhyme gave her a confident smile, May nodded, and let her do as she wanted.
Miranda charged, Rhyme pulled May back, and made her swing her sword at Miranda's head, She dodged. And looked at them shocked.
"God Damn it! Wait. Shit sorry God!" Miranda yelled to the sky, before glaring at May and Rhyme. "No fair, you got a Chosen! That's fucking cheating!" Miranda yelled. She ran, and jumped into the air, ready to come down on May and Rhyme. Rhyme pulled herself up, she wrapped her legs around May's stomach, she wrapped her arms around her neck, and leaned back, pulling May with her. They ended up falling on the ground, and Miranda zoomed over them, screamed and hit the ground hard.
"Wow, you're good Rhyme, how did you know what to do?" May wondered, as she got up, and pulled Rhyme with her, who huffed, and took May's sword for herself, getting in a defensive position as Miranda got up. Rhyme felt confident now, she could do this!
Miranda ran towards her, ready to defeat her, Rhyme anticipated this, and moved out of the way, moving her sword to almost touch Miranda's chest. Miranda leaned back, and the sword barely missed her, she spun on her heel, and jumped back, grabbing onto a tree, and sitting on the branch.
"Like I said. Fucking cheating." Miranda huffed, she leaned back on the branch, and fell, she did a quick flip, and landed nimbly on her feet. She turned to look at her, and glared. "Think this is a piece of cake then the fucking Chosen of Light shows up. Ridiculous." Miranda muttered, throwing her sword down. Rhyme smiled and turned around. Miranda smirked, and kicked the very bottom of the handle, knocking the sword into the air, she spun on her heel and kicked the sword midair, at Rhyme.
Rhyme knew this was coming and turned around swiftly, knocking the sword back, and throwing her own in the same motion. Her sword flew, and connected with Miranda's chest, Miranda just blinked. Then smirked as Tanner came up, and stabbed May. Rhyme turned to him dumbfounded.
"Sorry Rhyme, you can't see my future." He told her, with a smirk. Before lunging and touching her chest with the tip of his sword. Rhyme sighed. She and May walked back to the castle where Kathrina and the others were waiting. Tanner looked at Miranda and smirked.
"You got killed. Get out of here. Talk to them though, and be nice." Tanner ordered her, before dashing off, Miranda saluted him, then flipped him off, and walked away.
"This is my element Janice, I don't need your strategy." Zack told her with a smirk, She rolled her eyes.
"Please. We both know who is at the top of their class." Janice retorted with a smirk of her own, he shrugged.
"So? Book smarts is one thing, and fighting is another." He replied, she crossed her arms.
"You know that I studied strategies, and can re create crime seems right, and analyze what exactly happened. I know the angles."
"In theory, but that doesn't apply too much here. You're not a lawyer yet Jan." He reminded her, she smiled at him.
"Not yet at least." She said confidently. Zack smiled at her. Tanner walked up to them calmly, with a smile.
"Hey, you two. Got your friends already. Just us three now." Tanner said, with a smirk, Zack and Janice just stared at him.
"Really?" Zack asked, Tanner nodded, and placed a hand on his hip.
"Yup. And this is goodbye. For you two at least." Tanner told him, Zack looked to Janice, then back at him.
"What?" Zack asked, Tanner nodded.
"Uh huh. You're coming with me, conscious or not. Bosses orders." Tanner told him, Zack shook his head, getting into a fighting stance.
"I don't think so." Zack replied, with a defiant look. Tanner sighed, and then looked around.
"What really? Okay then." Tanner replied randomly, Zack and Janice just looked at each other. Before Tanner zeroed in on Zack again, getting into a fighting stance. "Change of plans. If I beat you, you're coming with me. If you win, then I'll leave. Turns out the Boss is willing to except either offer. It all ends the same anyway." Tanner told them.
"You're on."
"Zack!"
"What? Its not like I'll lose." Zack told her confidently, with a hint of arrogance even in his tone. Janice shook her head.
"I don't care! You're not fucking leaving regardless!" Janice exclaimed, Zack nodded. He focused his attention on Tanner. Who sighed, before zooming up to Zack, who reacted out of pure instinct and jumped back, though his footing was off, so he ended up falling on the ground.
Tanner didn't relent, he rushed Zack again, aiming to defeat him. Zack thew his sword up to block. Tanner would have broken through if Janice hadn't placed her sword with Zack's to further block the attack. Janice wasn't going to sit around and let her new boyfriend just leave, she had to try and help.
"Thanks." Zack told her with a smile, Before Tanner narrowed his gaze, and spun on his toes, he poked Janice in the chest, and she ended up falling down from the momentum. Zack saw this and glared at Tanner. He stood up, with a death sentence that had Tanner's name written all over it in his eyes. Tanner backed away, with a small smirk.
"That's it. Let that Spirit take root. No more distractions." Tanner said, with a smile, Zack glared at him, and ran. He moved faster than ever before, and swung with more force than he had ever used, Tanner barely got his defense up in time to block. Zack jumped up and slammed his sword into Tanner's, knocking him to the ground.
Tanner put his palm to the earth, and slid back, out of Zack's range. He stood up with a smile, and moved faster than he had before. Zack saw this and blocked using his hand to help support the blade of his sword. Zack shoved back, knocking Tanner back a bit.
But Zack didn't stop there, He advanced on Tanner, He kept hitting his sword knocking him back with each hit. Before Zack reared back, and smacked his sword away entirely, it went flying wildly away from them, and Zack hit Tanner in the chest, knocking him down.
"Okay then. Good job Zack. You won, and tapped into your Spirit. The Boss was right, you just needed the right motivation. A fire to keep you going. Cherish that, you're going to need it." Tanner told him, before walking off. Zack shook his head and pulled Janice up.
"You okay?" Zack asked, Janice nodded.
"Yeah, what was that?" Janice asked, referring to what Tanner had said, and what Zack just did. That was inhuman. No one could move that fast, or hit that hard.
"I don't know Janice." He told her, staring after Tanner, he, himself was wondering what just happened.
