Raeven was not in the mood to go out but thinking about the family dinner tonight; she needs to. She was in her casual streetwear; a loose white t-shirt with folded short sleeves, denim shorts that showed off her beautiful flawless long legs, and a pair of mint green sneakers. There was also a bunny sling bag that was diagonally hanging on her shoulder. Her long raven hair was in a messy braid and she had her expensive pink-tinted sunnies to complete her look. After assessing her looks and being satisfied with what she saw in front of her mirror, she did not bother to take breakfast and casually made her way out of the mansion before going inside the car. She instructed the driver to go straight to one of the biggest malls in the city. When she was inside the mall, she did not go straight to one of the expensive boutiques rather than go inside Starbucks. and ordered a nice cup of latte. She needs caffeine to wake her up. She stayed inside for almost an hour, busying herself by browsing through her social media app. Then, when she was done with her coffee, she went down with her business.
She loves window shopping, going from store to store, usually, she was with her cousin, however, that cousin of hers was sent to another country to take her master's degree, window shopping gets too lonely after that...
She spent almost an hour going through all the expensive boutiques that were lined in that big mall. However, nothing piqued her attention; she thinks it gets boring and thought she should make it a point to always have a backup and have custom-made evening gowns at least once a month for an emergency. If it was done in advance, she should've not been in this boring predicament... She sighed and rolled her eyes.
She was thinking of something else to do. Suddenly she remembered her good friend Angel, her family owned a mall. She went out and told her driver where to go next. When going down the car after half an hour of driving, she looked at the not-so-elegant looking-tall building. It looked like an ordinary mall, but there was something about how the staff welcomed the shoppers. It was not pretentious. They were so humble and focused on their work. She has not been inside this mall, though she noticed it before. She was not attracted to it because of its ordinary look, but inside, each store has quite a unique collection. After walking just a few steps, she spotted a boutique that has one of her favorite brands. She went inside and browsed through some clothes while deciding if she needed a whole wardrobe of those or just some... when she heard some noise; it was from an attractive couple. Well, it was her guess, looking at the guy who was speaking while the girl was giggling like a slut. Raeven was about to roll her eyes, but she stopped herself. The girl was familiar; she is Victoria Greene and the guy... The guy on the other school's rooftop!
She doesn't know where to look, and for the first time in her life, she was not composed. She was a little confused, to be exact. The next thing she knew, she was grabbing a dress while the other girl was grabbing the other side of that same dress. She looked up and saw Victoria's pretty face. She felt something surging inside of her. "I'm sorry, but I get it first." She said with her cold tone.
"I got it first, miss. So, please, don't tug on it or else it will be ruined." Victoria said arrogantly.
B*tch! What does she think? Does she own this store?!
"I was alone here a while ago and I know I spotted it first before you. The dress will be ruined, so please let go." She said. Her face was still icy cold and indifferent. Thus, the glaring contest between the two beauties started...
Raeven could see in her peripheral vision that the boyfriend of this girl was making his way to them, so she thought of a plan and then after a second she secretly smirked and then let go of the dress. "Sure, you can have it. I'm sure there are other dresses much prettier than this. Here, take it." She said, then she saw the big and arrogant smile on the girl's face, and then she turned to the other stock of dresses lined up by the other side corner of the store. It was not a moment after she left the dress behind when she heard a miserable scream from the girl.
"What the hell?! The hem of the dress got caught in the hanger. It was ruined. What to do?!" She started whining. The boyfriend beside her was trying to calm her down, saying that there were other beautiful dresses in the store. Raeven suddenly felt the urge to laugh out loud. She was feeling satisfied and, for the first time in her life, she never felt this way. Destroying someone's happiness was so satisfying. She doesn't have any idea what came upon her and that she cares about a simple childish play.
Well, thanks to that ruined dress, she could spot a much better-looking dress. It was a pink rose-colored sweetheart dress that reached above her knee, made of satin, with corset-like back strings that will perfectly hug her luscious curves. Perfect!
She went inside the fitting room and fitted the dress. It was what she imagined it should be. She has a very impressive physique for her age. And the dress complimented her curves perfectly. Now, all she needs to do is find the perfect heels to go with the dress, go to the salon to fix her hair and everything will be done. She went to the counter and paid for her perfect dress. The arrogant girl was nowhere to be seen. She relaxed and was about to exit the shop when she heard a low, husky voice. He whispered something. And she knows it was directed at her. She was outside when she touched her cheeks. It was burning!
Foxy lady...
She can't believe the guy called her foxy! The nerve! She can't believe that the first time she had a crush, and it was on a boy that is no longer available... Okay, she admitted it now. She had a crush on that attractive guy. What a shame... So, she told herself, maybe it was not the right time to start a relationship. She was preoccupied when someone called her name.
"Rae."
Angel was jogging her way up to her. She was disoriented at first, then remembered it was Angel's mall. "Shopping on your own?"
"Yes, and you?"
"I'm doing a part-time job... hehe." she was bashful.
"Wow. You are learning so early. Should I go and sign up for an internship at my dad's company?" She teased her.
Angel just laughed. "So, you want someone to accompany you? It's my lunch break."
"Sure." While they were strolling around, it was a coincidence or maybe a curse that the pair collided with the arrogant couple Raeven met where she bought her dress. Angel was about to greet them, but then Raeven said something to her. Angel was trying not to burst out laughing. She touched her hand to her mouth. Raeven was smiling when she saw the guy looking at her. She raised her eyebrow at him, then totally ignored him after. She just went past him like he was just nothing but thin air.
