A young Asian man with pastel orange hair and green eyes sits in his work chair like the laziest of lazy bums. His legs are crossed , his hands are too relaxed behind his head and his posture in his seat is terrible. This all changes when a woman of the same descent comes over to him and slams a file on the table.
‘’Tohaku cmon dude you’re going to get yelled at again!’’ she warns.
‘’well I mean you are already, but yeah I know Emina I know’’ Tohaku replies.
‘’if you know then sit properly!’’ Emina fires back.
The expression on Tohaku’s face suddenly becomes serious as he does what is suggested.
‘’Enough about me let’s talk about you’’ he says.
‘’How are you feeling? He asks.
‘’I'm fine why? Emina wonders.
‘’I mean your body’’ Tohaku clarifies.
‘’it's only been a few weeks since you got it back right? You still hurt anywhere? He wonders.
‘’oh, yeah I'm fine, in fact I've never felt more alive’’ Emina claims.
‘’Good , I love that long black hair of yours, it goes well with pink eyes’’ Tohaku compliments.
‘’Does it? Well I'm glad you think so’’ Emina says with a small smile.
‘’Alright , getting back to business, I'm going to assume that you giving me this means boss is ready for us? Tohaku asks as he takes a look at the folder Emina gave him.
‘’Yeah he should be soon, lets head up to his office and wait’’ Emina recommends as she grabs her bag and other belongings.
‘' good idea’’ Tohaku agrees as he does the same.
The two do not have to wait long. Their boss, A heavyset black man with white hair, black eyes and a silver mustache calls them in.
‘’Hey Santrell’’ Tohaku greets.
‘’Hey Boss how are you? Emina Greets.
‘’hello you two, I'm good thanks’’ Santrell replies
‘’take a seat’’ he offers.
They do.
‘’ I've got good news, bad news and more bad news, I will give you the first set of bad news to start’’ Santrell begins.
‘’We had another body theft case’’ he reveals.
‘’ah god! Please tell me they caught the guy, or girl? Tohaku begs.
‘’they did and that was the good news’’ Santrell confirms.
‘’it was a guy this time, he had the powers of a you know what’’ he adds.
‘’he’s like me huh? Emina infers.
‘’yes , now the other bad news for you two at least is that even though this was the first case of this kind in months, there’s a likelihood it will happen again’’ Santrell explains.
‘’meaning? Tohaku asks.
‘’I need you guys to do me a favor’’ Santrell softly commands.
‘’I hate to ask this but... You both remember the first time this happened right? He hopes.
Emina looks down at the floor with sadness. Tohaku puts his hand on her shoulder and says to her ‘’it's fine, what’s done is done’’
‘’Thanks’’ Emina says.
‘’yes we do, and the worst part is pretty much all of it is plastered to our brains at this point’’ Emina says to her boss.
‘’that’s..good well not good but-
‘’we know what you mean sir’’ Tohaku assures.
‘’what do you need? He asks.
‘’Did Emina give you the file I asked her to give you’’ Santrell asks as his face stiffens
‘’yes sir’’ Tohaku answers.
‘’this one is my bad but I'm afraid that doc won’t cut it’’ Santrell explains.
‘’I need you two to write up a detailed report about it, and when I say detailed I mean every last bit of it you can recall’’ he orders.
They take a few moments to answer but once they do, Emina breaks the silence and says ‘’sir believe it or not you actually beat us to the punch’’
‘’We had a feeling you were going to ask us about this’’ Tohaku adds.
‘’sorry but this will make things much easier whenever we come across these kinds of cases’’ Santrell promises.
‘’Not a problem, we understand’’ Emina says.
‘’we’ll get right to it’’ she adds as she and Tohaku turn to leave.
‘’thanks’’ santrell says with a goodbye bow.
