Okay, this story started off when I woke up one morning. A dream. It was a weird dream, but it had some promise. When I woke up, it was one of those few dreams which I could actually remember. It wasn't something where I woke up and felt the same emotions from the dream, but couldn't remember anything, no. I remembered everything.
Now, the story isn't exactly word for word like the dream, but the themes are the same.
It was about a pocket watch. As the title suggests. A pocket watch given to the protagonist, (I can't remember the name so we'll call him Jeff) by his grandfather for his birthday. As a cranky teen who's obsessed with video games and junk food, he didn't know what to do about the pocket watch, and didn't really care about it until one night when he threw it against the wall in anger and a piece popped out. 155Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡwbHMWAEvOV
Inside was a piece of paper saying, "Time is relative. Death is never the end." or something timey wimey The end is never the end thing which I don't remember. Curious, he pops open the pocket watch, which is followed by a gust of wind outside but nothing more.
In the morning, he is greeted by his mother staring out the window as she cries, and when he asks what's wrong, she says she can see her dead mother. As he leaves his house, he sees that all around town people can see ghosts. Not just their relatives, though, but specifically, people around Jeff and his family. Strange, he gets spooked when he sees a ghost float down the street and stays in his house.
However, when he wakes up the next morning, the ghosts are gone and nobody remembers what happened. But Jeff did. And he feels he's going mad because of it. Frightened out of his mind, he goes to his grandfather, the one who gave him the pocket watch in the first place, begging for him to take it back.
I don't really remember what happens next as I never finished the story, but it turns out that...
