Name: Mukuro
Nationality: REDACTED
Class: Preceptor
Mukuro is one of my more beloved characters on a personal level. I can’t explain too much without spoilers, but she has a lot of doubts about her humanity, and characters like that with tragic backstories that still push on with an upbeat attitude always tug my heartstrings. She’s a curious girl with a deadpan wryness to her, but with an innocence that takes what others say at face value, trusting everything she hears from people or reads on the internet.
As for her design, it looks like Nor never finished her staff (which is a pity, because I had a really cool idea for it; now it looks like she’s holding a big ol’ sign). Aside from that, Mukuro’s whole aesthetic is “what would you wear if you didn’t care a whit what other people thought?”. I talked with my sis about this, and this was the result; Bunny slippers, a fuzzy hoodie with pompom ties, short, unkept hair, and a frilly skirt. I was a little dubious about the frilly skirt myself, but Nor quickly informed my that, as a guy, I have no idea of the joys of twirling around wearing a frilly skirt. I decided to trust her on that one, and I think it really works on Mukuro. She really looks like she doesn’t give two flips what you think :P
Her class is the Preceptor, a white-magic style area control class. The caster can assign different spells to the tips of their staff, one to either end, then engage with their foes in close combat using a mix of bōjutsu and point-blank blasts of magic. Further, whenever they slam either end into the ground, it triggers the stored spell, allowing them to repeat it without wasting time on incantations. They usually bind wide-area attacks or rune-based traps to their staff, and can even trigger them by slamming the tips directly into their foes.
