光魔法師帕梅爾與冰鏡魔法師徐果，一同至「下８區」調查月光消失的主因和源頭，途中不僅遇上能夠吸食月光的奇異黑色生物，更在尋線的過程中目睹了某種「變異」過程；儘管兩人的配合與默契天衣無縫，這「變異」的背後，仍是深藏著更為棘手的問題與謎團。

【作者絮語】

原本僅打算以番外篇的形式和大家見面，但經過一段時間的仔細思量，由於《普羅斯米亞》的故事和環境背景，深度和張力皆稍嫌不足，因而決定先以帕梅爾的故事——也算是《普羅斯米亞》的前傳為主軸另開新篇，一條龍地寫下去，如此才較能讓整個大長篇的這部小說，較為完整而圓滿。

因此，《普羅斯米亞》中，佩歐特的故事會暫停一段時間，希望有生之年可以將她寫滿寫完。
