Stars twinkle above me, 

My hand reaching, 

But they stay just out of grasp,  

One day.

Freshly fallen snow, 

Pristine and white, 

Reflecting the lunar moon  

As its soft light illuminates my face,  

I stay reaching. 

One day.

This moment, gentle and fleeting. 

Sparkling in my hand like a gem,  

Melting like a snowflake, and slipping through my fingers as quick as sand. 

Not one day, now.
