King Drais wanted me to wed his son, Prince Vincenzo. He said a marriage alliance would strengthen our kingdoms even more from the enemies.
I did not have a problem with Vincenzo. He was my patient. He was a pleasant guy. The treatment, I administered to him was improving his health. He was handsome and charming in a boyish sort of way.
But did I want to marry him? No.
Everytime I closed my eyes, I could think of one person. A huge muscled strong man with green eyes and jet-black hair.
After a few hours, I saw myself engaged to the sick prince of Methidrion. I tried to look cheerful and happy.
Vincenzo and I got along well together. He had a good sense of humor and made me laugh. He could probably be my best friend if we became close enough and spent time with each other.
That evening, I was to marry Vincenzo.
I was dressed in a beautiful white wedding dress. I clutched my bouquet of flowers. I take in a deep breath ready to get married.
In my bridal room, I tell my maid to leave. I wanted a few moments to myself. She leaves.
There is a scuffle behind me. I turn around. There is a huge muscled man standing infront of me. He is not Cosmo. But his appearance resembles him to some extent. I realize he has green eyes and shoulder-length jet-black hair just like Cosmo. He looks magnificient.
He looks like an army commander.
"Who are you?", I regally manage to say.
"I am Paratore, the army commander to King Cosmo", he replies and bows mockingly.
"What are you doing here?"
"Oh, dear Queen, you are marrying the wrong man. I merely came here to ensure you were marrying the right one."
I try to yell out to Captain Abrigello. Just as I open my mouth. A sword is pointed at my throat.
"If you yell and cause a scene and alert everyone. Prince Vincenzo dies. And the treaty between your Isles will be broken. And you will be blamed. So, be wise and come with me, dolcezza", saying so, he come near to grab my waist. I kick him and move out of his way.
I feel his hands clamp around my waist after I take no more than a few steps towards the door.
"You are a fiesty kitten.", he says.
"I ought to punish you for this, dolcezza", he whispers in my ear.
"But, you already belong to my King.", he says with obvious frustation.
Before I can form any coherent thought, he hits me with the back of his sword on my head.
I think I am being kidnapped...
I faint into oblivion.
