Praise for John's Torment
"With their strict rhyming structure, villanelles are hard, but the way Hope Smith plucks 'grating', 'mating', 'waiting', 'fascinating', 'captivating', out of the English language is simply sublime."
- The Daily Tale
"I just don't feel John's love for the love."
- Enid Kibbler
"The verse about Alan gave me chills!"
- Zob Gloop
A/N:
This is a type of poem called a villanelle. Villanelles are very structured, and consists of five stanzas of three lines, followed by one stanza of four lines. There are nineteen lines in total. There are also repeating rhymes and stuff-too much to go into here but I thought it was interesting! (Sorry I love poetry!) If you want to learn more about villanelles, I highly recommend researching them!
