2100年，經歷病毒肆虐後人們原本以為即將迎來曙光，卻不料地震、海嘯、火山爆發接二連三發生，全球經濟迎來前所未有的衰退，國與國之間的衝突一觸即發，人類迎來了第三次世界大戰。

戰爭好不容易結束後，被生化武器、核彈摧殘過的土地寸草不生，倖存的人們也因為大量汙染，紛紛染上奇異的怪病死去，原本生機勃勃的大地瞬間化為一片死寂。

然而，在倖存者中有這麼一個美好的傳說，傳說有塊豐饒的土地，那裡住著大量的倖存者；傳說那裡沒有戰火、沒有汙染；傳說那裡不只人人有房住、餐餐能溫飽，甚至還有豐富的娛樂，那裡就是人類是最後的桃花源……

那裡叫做——方舟。

被囚禁在研究所多年，好不容易重獲自由的麗瑟在機緣下來到方舟，然而她卻漸漸發現方舟並不如表面上的完美……為了改善方舟內低階人民的生活，她答應協助探索外部環境，卻在一次又一次的探索中，逐漸揭露藏在方舟內更不為人知的秘密……
