Dennis had left Elliott’s study not long after being taunted by the Anderson Girls earlier that evening. He now sat alone in Elliott’s bedroom.
When Dennis heard the pistol shot, he was startled but not afraid. He listened closely to all of the commotion coming down from the living room and heard that it had been Freeman who had been killed.
Freeman. Dennis could have cared less about him. He understood that Freeman had been a good friend of his father. But Freeman was still a person, and Dennis still continued to hate all people.
Dennis did not care at all who Freeman’s murderer was. He knew his father would not leave the basement until he found out. Dennis found that stupid. Since when has his father been a detective?
Dennis’ father staying in the basement only made him stay at Elliott’s house longer than he wanted. His mother decided she wasn’t leaving because of that. Dennis knew that would happen. He also wasn’t surprised upon hearing that none of the other guests were leaving either.
He was sure that his father would leave the basement eventually. There was no way that he was going to find the killer. Dennis was sure of it.
But the longer that he sat in the bedroom, the more he wished for someone to open the door and tell him that his family was leaving. It wasn’t because he was bored. Whenever he got home, he was just going to sit in his room and be bored there. He just really wanted to get out of Elliott’s house.
Dennis was always expecting the door to open and for either Elliott, his wife, or, even worse, the Anderson Girls to walk in. Dennis was quite disappointed when he heard Nadia say that she would stay at the house. That meant that the Anderson Girls would stay as well. It had been a while since they had come to torment him, but he knew it was only a matter of time before they came and did.
When Dennis first came into Elliott’s room, he noticed that the top drawer on a dresser was wide open. He didn’t really care much about it, so he didn’t pay any attention to it. He also decided not to close it. It was Elliott’s room and he left the drawer open. Elliot could close it himself.
As much as he wanted to, Dennis tried not to fall asleep. He fell asleep quite often when he sat alone in his room at home. But because he knew that the Anderson Girls were at Elliott’s house, he knew that falling asleep there was not a good idea. Any time he is woken from his sleep by the Anderson Girls is not a good time.
Dennis just continued to sit and wait for something to happen. He also continued to beg that time would go by much faster and get him out of that house.544Please respect copyright.PENANAsXfhflkXRq
