李二與王六是許久未見的朋友。某天，哥倆相約喝酒，幾杯黃湯下肚，酒興一起兩人開始爭論著世上有沒有鬼，李二認為世上沒有鬼，王六則相反。一個要對方拿出有鬼的證據，另一個則要對方證明世上沒有鬼，各執一辭，毫無交集；既然拿不出又證明不了，這樣的爭論就淪為曠日費時的口水戰。果不其然，兩人爭得面紅而赤最後鬧得不歡而散，臨走前雙方約好隔天再論，等到隔天李二左等右等老半天的就是等不來王六，李二跑去王六的家要當面質問他，怎知王六的家人聽到李二的來意之後很吃驚，王六的家人告訴李二說王六已經過世足足有兩個月了。
