明朝萬歷二十一年，秋，山東渾城的某家客棧，卒役押解一名犯罪的和尚前來投宿，晚上和尚趁隙麻暈了卒役並削了他的頭髮拿走書文與印信然後不慌不忙的離開，卒役醒來發現和尚跑了，他敲鑼打鼓的要求客棧的人幫忙逮人，怎知客棧的人只識頭髮不識其人，不由分說把卒役當逃跑的和尚直接捆了扭送官府。
