Chapter 4
Ghosts.
I've been seeing people wandering about my house since since I first heard conversations near my house. I only see them every now and again, and the rest of them just appear for a few seconds before vanishing. My house is starting to resemble a spooky house, like if it were for Halloween or something. I keep getting the strange sense that I shouldn't be there, but it's my house, so I'm entitled to stay. I haven't seen the two man figures in a long time, which is strange considering I see them virtually every day. They may have gone. I don't mind either way; it's reassuring to know that my house isn't overrun by ghosts. But since the two men figures left, the other figures have become more and more visible.
Some of the ghosts are more visible, but those ones I usually don’t see. They appear every once in a while, with weird things in their hands, almost every time. Luckily, my friend is coming over, again. They usually get here by the time I have left for work, but I have a day off, so they're coming to see me, maybe they will hear and see these, or we'll just have a regular day, who knows.
I heard a knock on my door, I smile and walk over, looking through the peak hole. Yep, it was them. I open my door and get a hug that felt like it was breaking my bones. "Hello there" I said in between breathes, trying to get out of the tight squeeze. "Hello!" She almost squealed back, finally setting me down, letting me breath correctly. I half way smile then welcomed her in, walking over to the couch.
We talked for what felt like forever, then I started getting hungry. "Hungry?" I'd ask them, they nod. I walk over to the kitchen, looking for something to eat. I see what I was going to get for food, then giggled and grabbed something else for them.
I walk back in with a big grin, they look at me confused. I sit down and hand her the food, then she starts giggling too. "Y'know these are tomato seeds, right? Why would you have these in your kitchen?" I shrugged, then started eating my food.

We finished our food long ago, and now just watching movies until they have to go home. Right now we're watching Encanto, and just eating popcorn. She would have to leave soon, but that's fine, I have stuff I was suppose to do today, kind of like cleaning my house.
The movie ended, and now they are picking up their stuff, as they got to leave soon. I'm helping them, of course. I have to start cleaning my house after she leaves anyway. She gathers all of her stuff, and walks out the door, "Bye!" she yells before closing the door. I sigh, realizing that I have to clean now. I start at the kitchen, and go from there.

I finished cleaning, and it wasn't fun. It took me almost 2 hours for just the kitchen, dishes, the pantry, counters, everything. Everything else went somewhat fast. I lay down on the couch, just staring at the ceiling. I sit there for a little bit longer, before sitting back up, deciding I wanted to go outside. I get my jacket, figuring it was cold outside, as it was late fall.
I walk outside, looking around. It has been a long time since I have actually looked at my surroundings outside. Most of the trees have lost their leaves, now being just branches, making them almost creepy. I walk around, eventually ending at a park. I sit down at a bench, looking at the park, not a lot of people are around. I should of known that, as not a lot of people like being outside right before winter, and its cold. I see a few kids playing on the playground around the middle of the park. I stood up again, and once again, started walking around again.
I'm just about to my house, and I don't know why, but I don't want to go inside my own house. I stand near the fence of my house, and just stare at my house. I still didn't want to go in, but it felt like I was being dragged toward it, and it was my house. I walk in, and it seems normal so far, no ghosts. But then I notice, it quiet. Too quiet. Usually there is voices, but they aren't there. Where did they go?
