Looking at the watch on his wrist Satoru knew he was late… again. His wife was probably asleep by now. When he got home all the lights were out, Y/N must be asleep by now. All he could think about was getting in bed with her wrapping her form in his strong arms and deeply inhaling her scent of roses and honey in his lungs. He yearned to feel her warmth and listen to her steady heartbeat lulling him to sleep. But when he got to his room it was empty. Only then did he notice the lack of another energetic imprint in his home. He didn’t need his six eyes to know his wife was not there and yet he went from room to room, looking for her, desperately calling her name. “Y/N! Where are you?!” He asked once more going to the kitchen where he saw two envelopes resting on the counter along with… her wedding ring.

He trembled internally before opening the second envelope where two court forms rested with his wife’s signature on each. One read “Petition for Divorce” and the other one read “Annulment”. Eyeing through it quickly he realized his wife requested the divorce due to “irreconcilable differences” and she left all of the Gojo assets he put under her name to him. She wanted nothing from him just the end of their marriage.

He almost tumbled when he tried to sit down on a chair by the table, dumbfounded and thoroughly shocked… She knew…. How long had she known? According to the pictures and ultrasound it seemed at least a few months.
Had she been preparing this all along!? To leave him in the middle of the night without a word!? The egotistical jerk in him found his ego wounded but the man who was thoroughly in love with his wife found his heart pierced by a dagger. He had no right to demand anything from her after what he had done and yet all he wanted was for her to walk through that door and come home.
