Every story needs a good opening line or paragraph to begin with. For example some of my favourites include:
“One minute the teacher was talking about the Civil War. And the next minute he was gone.” –Gone by Michael Grant
“Newborn #485GA18M died on June 30, 2076, at 6:07 in the morning. She was three days old. The average lifespan of a human child, in the time since the break, was fifty-six hours.” –Partials by Dan Wells
“The end of the world started when a pegasus landed on the hood of my car.” –The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan

Or at least, how I try.” -- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
"Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much." -- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by JK Rowling
All of these are great books that I highly recommend.
But now its your turn.
Make up a fake title for a book then write the opening first line or paragraph.
Some Rules:
Nothing too excessive, the rating is PG.3388Please respect copyright.PENANA26vXOS6xfW
Characters from other books/movies can be used. But keep them in character please!3388Please respect copyright.PENANAX3QR7xd8Sf
Two entries per person.3388Please respect copyright.PENANAzOPpSf9Xmx
If you choose to write a paragraph rather than a sentence, please keep it within two.
Sounds easy? Hopefully it should be.
Good luck!
Additional note: I am going to be away for the next week, so when I get back I will read and comment on all the entries then!
