Human civilization had developed too far and the gods feared that they would rebel against them. They decided to destroy the earth. A scientist  discovered their plans in a form of a theory known as the infinite equinox.  
The sun would shine 24/7 along the equatorial zone leaving other areas to freeze and countries along the equator to burn. The scientist  invented a drug and called it solar burst which could save mankind from extinction , however  the scientist took one of the drugs and threw the remaining four unto  the world. Countries that were not along the equator all perished due to adverse weather conditions. People fought against themselves  in order to attain the drug . The scientist's  son, Mike Acquaye murdered him and stole the drug. When all the drugs where confirmed as taken, rape was legalized to repopulate the world. despite their efforts, females of almost every organism where too weak to withstand the heat n most of them ended up dying before they could give birth. Hence all organisms started to interbreed to survive which gave rise to the new age of superhuman abilities. This story revolves around the youngest direct descendant to Mike Acquaye, Mark Acquaye who vows to defeat the gods for killing his mother.
