開始遊戲後三天，許弘苑和他的夥伴們就發現陣亡的玩家並沒有照遊戲規則復活，下線去叫人的兩個朋友也都從此消失，廖青青應該既沒死也沒下線，但也已失蹤。於是倖存的六個玩家分為三組，分別選擇三條任務線繼續遊戲，期盼在走完一個完整的故事後能安全的回到現實。

然而，許弘苑、魏常盛以及四個北方精靈NPC組成的隊伍卻在踏上旅程後的第三天被突然出現的人類軍隊伏擊，集體被俘虜和關押在一個監獄般的地方，每三天就要被迫進行一場生死交關的競技。

在遊戲中死亡後玩家真的會死嗎？總總離奇遭遇究竟是遊戲原本的設定還是遊戲世界崩潰的前兆？許弘苑是否能活著離開這座監獄？是否能再次見到廖青青？
