"You're too trusting."
A pause, a soft sigh, and their head turns, peering over a thin shoulder to meet blue, electric eyes. Pinprick pupils study them for a long moment before the owner lets out a laugh, "What, got no response, oh wise one?"
"Nobody said I was wise," They reply evenly, a slight frown set in place, "And there is little I can respond to it, anyways."
"You could go 'no I'm not!' or something," The other responds, voice notching into a mocking pitch, lips drawn back into a sneer, showing off sharp fangs.
Their eyes search for a moment, from the electric eyes to the mocking grin, then back up again. "What makes you say I am, anyways?"
"Well," It snickers, an odd noise coming from a beastial being, more like a wheeze than a normal snicker, "You trust me for some odd reason, and then you think it's a good idea to trust beanpole and blondie over there," A toss of its head, and their own eyes follows the motion. "They have yet to prove to be bad," They respond, almost dryly, "So I see no reason to fret over it."
"One of them is a cave dweller and the other is a fuckin' mail boy." It says, voice edging on the side of impatience, "Why do you just trust them? They could be bad, and so could I."
"Do you want me to distrust you?"
"Well no, but you need to be more careful. For someone smart, you're very naive."
"Maybe so, " They retort, their own patience drawing thin with the conversation, "But if I sense no need to worry, then I will not. My paranoia is already bad, as it is, so wondering if the people around me might stab me in the back is not the best thing to think of every second."
Finally, the other gives in, tossing its head with a huff, "Whatever you say, midget."
