他們在何處？宇宙為何那麼寧靜？SETI(地外文明搜尋計劃）由六十年代開始直到今日，除了那72秒的＂Wow！訊號＂外什麼也找不到？當然有人會説「外星人科技那麼先進怎會用無線電這種落後技術，當然找不到啦！」，但問題是外星人的科技也沒可能憑空生出來，必然是一步一腳印地發展，其間他們必定有經過和我們一樣的時代，沒頭沒腦地瘋狂使用無線電，而SETl正是利用無線電波那種覆水難收的特性去尋找外星文明。就例如如果在二十光年內有能力接收無線電波的文明，他們應該開始收看到＂真情（香港TVB的長命肥皂劇）＂了，道理就是那麼簡單，但為何這麼多年來只有那72秒不明所以的訊號外什麼也收不到？我不禁深思是不是那裡出了問題，還是他們出了問題⋯⋯（此作品靈感來自Harry Turtledove所作的短篇小說＂The Road Not Taken＂當然也可以說是抄襲，總之在這裡感謝他）
