結城來夏期盼著在高中畢業後，能離開現在所居住的偏僻山村──神命村。

本來和同伴歡笑渡過每一天的普通生活，卻在畢業前夕，村裡突然出現了長得像是自己早已死去的妹妹──冬笑後一切都變了樣。

那如同樹人般的殺人怪物，在殺了班導後，就這樣隱藏在一片山林之中。當村裡為此騷動不已時，青梅竹馬三人中的耕一，選擇在此時向她揭開了村裡面的大人們皆信奉著邪教的這個事實，並流傳著不可告人的習俗──凡是長大後想離開村子的孩子都得殺死⋯⋯
