I usually draw my characters to get a better grasp of how they look (and also because it’s fun). Of course, on the cover of APS book 1 they look different and that’s because I couldn’t find a picture on artbreeder.com (website I used to make the cover) that EXACTLY resembled how I drew them. Can I just say that I'd been struggling SO DANG HARD with trying to figure out how to draw this dude? Like, I remember cycling through so many phases of completely different hairstyles and eyes until I decided I'd just take the Artbreeder version of him and put that in my own style. Although, you can probably tell that the Artbreeder version (on the cover of APS; it's cut off) doesn't match up too much with him drawn in my style, since I stylize things and make them a bit simpler. I think I like this one better...? I can't tell if I did with the shading or not :/. But yeah, I really don't have much to say about this last drawing. That's really all for this post. I guess I decided to do this just because A) as the title says: why not? B) most of the posts on this blog have been chapter updates and I figured I'd switch it up and do something different; C) I just wanted to share some art. Also, if you ever want to make fanart sometime, that's welcome, and you don't have to draw the characters exactly like how I draw them. Of course, maybe there's things that define their appearance, but you don't have to draw, say, every single strand of hair the same way; take some creative liberty.
