Rin and Len Kagamine were born twins of a blonde healthy mother, and their father also happens to be blonde as well. I guess you could say its a kagamine thing. But they weren't born a same gender, one was born a girl, and one was born a boy. Their mother had never knew she would have twins, much less be born of different genders. What was weird, is instead of crying, one was born laughing and the other, was born with a smile. Their mother was surprised of this, but she was happy they were just pure bundles of joy. Suddenly, when one started humming, the other joined in, they sounded almost exactly the same. One would hum when the other hummed, and stop when the other stopped. They were almost both mirror images and both the same voice.

Their mother and father then decided right then and their what their names would be. Their names would be Rin and Len Kagamine, meaning "mirror sounds." Not much is to this story, they lived together as a family, and Rin and Len were inseparable, like best friends they did everything together.
