時代︰新歷１４１１年

背景︰地球一座研究生化武器的工廠發生爆炸，四分之一個地球的地表受到破壞，人類無法在此之上繼續生存。與此同時，有毒的氣體蔓延在空氣之中，許多人受到感染變成了異類的怪物，剩餘的人類雖然沒有變成異類，但仍然受到這病毒的影響，身上一部分變成異類或者出現黑色的斑塊，而這斑塊是會有條件地傳染的。

為了保護剩餘人類的安全，各國政府設立了一個箱庭，隔絕了外面的病毒和異類，而人類就在這個箱庭渡過了百年。
