It has been almost 14 years since she last saw them. 14 long years since she last saw her best friend and broke up with her boyfriend. 

She had used her dream as a reason to leave them. She have always wanted to become a doctor. She told them she would study in another country and contact with her would be impossible to keep.

Only she knows how big of a lie that was. 

She didn't want contact with them anymore. She wanted to erase them from her life. 

But there she was, standing in front of the hospital she came visiting. And it was only in the place she left to forget. She took a deep breathe before she pulled a photo from her pocket and looked at it. 

It was a photo of her, her boyfriend, and her best friend in the background. No matter what she did, she just couldn't bring herself to forget them. 

"Lara?" A voice called behind her, putting a hand on her shoulder.  

She looked behind her and saw him; her boyfriend, Cole. He grew more handsome through the years they were separated. And it broke her heart thinking that he already had someone new.  

Then, his eyes fell to her hand that was holding the photo and saw it. Hope lit his eyes up as he looked up at her eyes.  Without a word, he pulled her to a hug. 

She tried not to cry. She tried not to care. She tried to push him away. And tried was the perfect word because she failed. 

Tears fell to her cheeks. Her heart welcoming his presence. And her hands, instead of pushing him away, pulled him closer to her. 

"I've missed you," he whispered in her ear. 

She was about to answer when she saw a man staring at them. He was handsome and tall, like a Calvin Klein model. He had a blinding smile on his lips as he stared back at her eyes.  

Her heart jumped. Fluttering at his attention. She pushed Cole away from her and due to shock, he stumbled to the floor. 

But before he could stand up, an earsplitting explosion happened, sending him away a few feet away from Lara. 

With his ears ringing, he stumbled to his feet and saw her bloodied lifeless body in the ground. 

While the man that looked like a CK model, turned around to leave; whistling as he did.
