I am Harleen quinzell. A psychiatrist at Arkham asylum. I was assigned to the mad man himself. The joker. I thought I was curing him but I was falling in love. It was an ongoing thing. I felt it first on my first day there. The first time he called me Honey. I couldn't tell anyone.
I sat there in the little concrete room. The joker sitting across from me in his straight jacket. I look at him pulling out a little stuffed cat "Look I got you a kitty" I say smiling. He looks at me with his peircing blue eyes
"How thoughtful" He says slowly, giving me his big Cheshire grin and I smile. Some say he is mad, insane even, but I think he is just a broken soul that's all alone . There is so much pain in his voice when he speaks it. I can hear it when he laughs.
He is so handsome. With his pale skin and piercing blue eyes. Bright green hair. "Hey sweet cheeks" He says, snapping me out of my trance. "y-yes" I say blushing madly. He is such a charmer. "Anything else on your mind?" "Not right now..." I say slowly getting closer to him.
The joker is a handsome man in a quirky sort of way.
"Can you do something for me doctor?" He says his voice lowering and gives me this insane look. Not smiling, no. But pure insanity. "anything-I mean yeah" I say quickly smiling at him. "Get closer to me."
I get closer to him instantly.
"Now kiss me" He says quietly but sternly.
"Okay" I say confused. I lean in and he does too.
Your lips meet short and sweet and he pulls away. Your face goes red as you long for more. He sits back still in a straight jacket. "That was for you honey" He says to himself. "I like it like that"
You smile away as he looks at you with that goofy smile of his. God I love that man.
"Now there is something else '' He says low and coldly like about to kill. "Anything" I say slowly. He then looks at me coldly. "I need a machine gun" He says, giving that well known Cheshire smile. "A machine gun..?" I question back. "That's what I said isn't it" He says with a grin getting bigger. You know the one that makes me want to go insane. "Well yes, now that's no problem right sweet checks?" He ask as he already has me wrapped around his finger,
"Of course joker sir.." I say knowing this won't end well. "Thanks honey..oh and call me J." He states as guards come in to take him away. Our session has ended. Sadly. I see him getting dragged down the hall as he laughs like a mad man. Because he is one. I head back to my office and lock the door. I take out my leather bound book and record my sessions. Over the next few days I see him alot. He always wants different things.
I always find a way to get him everything who knows what he does with it. A few weeks later I'm sitting in my office recording my last session when I hear a big explosion. Alarms start blaring and henchmen start shooting up the place. I get up to try and run but two henchmen come and grab me by the arms. I try to reason with them, but it does no good. They drag me out of the office and throw me on the floor.
I get up and try to run but I'm grabbed by more henchmen.
They start dragging me down the corridor. I already know where they are going. I know the building all too well. Shock therapy. We use it on patients. I have gotten joker out of those sessions far too many times. I struggle against the men as they strap me to the metal table. "What do we have here?" I can't see him but I know who it is. Joker. He comes and stands over my face as they strap me down. He is a grey sweat pants from Arkham and his notorious purple coat. Nothing else, chest all exposed with his tattoos eye-catching to all.
He grabs a light pointing right above me. "I helped you." I say helplessly knowing how crazy he is. capable of anything. "No, you helped me by erasing my mind. from. all. dark. faded. memories. I. Had." He yells hitting the table with every word he gets out. Causing me to flinch. "They. Back. Now. Call. attention. with. needless. violence. This. will. no. longer. be. a. problem. for. you."
He then was to the side grading the electro shockers. They start to buzz. Turning the volume all the way up is only used for the craziest of patients. They are supposed to help but everyone knows it makes you crazier. "What are you going to do, you gonna kill me Mr. J" I ask afraid as my Brooklyn accent slips out as I call him the name. "Oh no..I'm not going to kill ya...I'm just gonna hurt ya..really..really..bad" he states darkly slowly circling the electro shockers around my head almost in a teasing manner. "oh yeah..well I can take it." I state trying to sound brave when deep down I am terribly afraid. He then grabs a belt putting it in my mouth.."I wouldn't want to ruin those perfect porcelain capped teeth when the juice hits your brain" He says laughing and smiling showing his silver smile. He then presses the electro shocker to my head. Pain coursing through my brain, my body and my veins. Everything starts to get fuzzy. I bite down on the belt, sure to leave teeth marks. Then soon everything goes black.
I start hearing voices. Crazy, and insane ones. "Why did you kill my boyfriend?" "I liked him...he was nice...you killed him" "Im sorry but you are an enemy of the state, killing people is what we do"
I don't even have a boyfriend.....I'm not doing this well....I need a distraction...."What if I said I was a spy from the east. Would you listen?"
No..No..No shut up!!! I'M NOT CRAZY I'M NOT CRAZY..."But you are..you know you're insane.." "Shut up, listen"
The voices quiet down a little.....
