人當然可以在倖存者偏誤的謊言裡過一輩子。
但事實是，世上多得是、如你我一般的失敗者。


確實，要怎麼活下去呢？這就是自己渴望的生活嗎？你從上帝那兒來，又返回上帝身邊。出於塵土而歸於塵土。
生活是讓我們這些失敗的人過的。
貪婪的上帝，把優秀的人聚集在身邊，把世界留給了我們這些剩下的人，我們這樣墮落的人。
鳥兒在胸前穿刺，牠遵循著一個不可改變的法規。牠被不知名的東西刺穿身體，被驅趕著，並在歌唱中慢慢死去。在荊棘刺進的那一瞬間，牠沒有意識到死亡將近。牠只是不停地唱著，直到生命耗盡，在也唱不出一個音符為止。但是，當我們把荊棘刺進胸膛時，我們是清楚的，我們是明白的。
然而，我們卻依然要這麼做：毫不遲疑地把荊棘刺進胸膛。
