They lay me here down to sleep

I pray the Lord my soul to keep

skitter a peregrination

a tiny exodus, a feast

come for my body and my blood

a parched congregation, a piece

Eight hundred eighty nine bedbugs

and they all want a taste of me

crawling slowly towards my pores

Eight hundred eighty nine bedbugs

red light, green light, all through the night

creeping towards the Last Supper
