It has been almost two years since i lost Aiden, and everything had changed that day i lost him. His warm embrace, his tender kisses, and the complements on my music he would give me all echoed in my head. To be completely blunt, i know it sounds cheeky, but Aiden was my everything. He made me smile in ways, that now, i can't smile anymore. What hurt more was that Aiden was also my best friend, i shouldn't have become so attached to him. But, i couldn't NOT get attached to him, that's just who he was.
I am a junior in high school now, and it still hurts. But, i couldn't worry about that anymore, as long as i don't talk to anyone i can't suffer anymore. Ever since that incident i haven't done anything related to music and i haven't really been focusing in school. I act happy in front of my mom, but i can tell she is worried. My style in clothes has changed too, but it is all part of growing up. I have messed around with my school uniform so much, the school got used to it.
It was supposed to be a regular school day, avoid everyone and keep to myself, yup just a normal day. The sound of my flats clacking up the cement stairs of the front school, i pushed open the doors. I saw many people talking in big groups, and i also saw couples being all Lovey-Dovey as i walked by. I smacked my teeth as i walked by a couple. "Disgusting..." I simply said as i passed them by, and i could tell they were looking at me. I had walked up many flights of stairs, just to get to my locker. Simply throwing my bag into my locker, i grabbed my phone and books for school from it. I hung up my jacket on the coat rack in the locker. I grabbed my completely untouched homework from my bag and shoved it in my binder.
I slammed my locker shut to the point where i think i got everyone's attention in the hallway. I looked around and saw everyone looking at me with a shuddered and weird look. Giving a unwelcoming glare, they all flinched in fear and quickly went along their business. I am used to the glares people gave me, and the whispers they said about me. As i walked down the stairs, i read the clock on my phone. Class wasn't going to begin for another thirty minutes, so i would just be sitting in class doing nothing. I could stop by the library and just hang around, but i didn't want to be around the people in there.
As i walked down the hallway wandering around wondering what to do, the hallway came to a dead end when i arrived in front of the music room. I looked up, and i looked through the window. The lights were on, but no one was in there. Then i saw it, like it was calling to me, i saw a piano. As soon as i looked at it, some memories of when i played the piano came flooding back. And, it kind of gave me a warm feeling in my chest, but then, i remembered Aiden. I quickly shuttered and turned my back to the door, i shouldn't look anymore. But...I turned my head toward the window, staring at the piano. I began reaching for the doorknob, and when i pulled on it , the door opened. The door shouldn't have been unlocked, but i'm glad it was.
Throwing my bag aside, i slowly walked toward the piano. Rushing my hand against the top, the piano was glistening like new. It felt so good to just touch the piano, I lifted up the top. The piano was calling to me and i didn't know what i was doing. I sat down on the chair, and i played a simple note unconsciously. And the thrill was unreal, i loved this feeling. I started playing a song by Taylor swift, and sang the lyrics as well.
