She had been seeing the vampires outside.

She looked at the Iron Gates. 

They seemed to be waiting for her. 

'No. No. No'.

She saw their eyes were aglow with supernatural power.

She raised the crucifix in her right hand. 

The aroma of fresh garlic wafted in the cold air.

The vampires backed away. 

And she smiled.
