I want to be the puppet master,

But I am always the puppet,

Forced against my will,

To sway this way and that.

I may not have my own thoughts,

My own emotions,

Not even my own memories,

For I am just a marionette.

I am nothing but a pawn,

Just something in another's game,

I cannot fight the strings,

They tie me back to this made up way of living.

Yes, he knows,

That I will do anything to be alive,

But for reasons unknown.
