Chapter Five

It was darkness at Camp Crystal Lake.

Jason Voorhees was waiting.

The campers were dead now.

Time was running out.

Chris was thinking about survival.

Her friends were having dinner.

Afterwards, they were in their cabins.

Jason attacked everyone.

The nightmare was almost over.

***

The last time Chris wanted to believe that the horror had ended. She saw Jason Voorhees. He wore a hockey mask. He took it off. 'You', she yelled. Jason pulled the mask off; Shelly was dead. And Chili. And Andy. And all of her friends. Rick drove the van towards the barn. The gas was depleted. He frowned. 'Let's go!'. They knew the horror was almost over.

Jason was watching.

He got a gas pump and poured some into the engine.

He, and Chris, headed away from Higgins Haven.

It was the best thing they did.
