Elizabeth is a daughter of a prominent Plantation owner in Alabama. When Elizabeth is staying with her Aunt in New York before the outbreak of the civil war she runs into (literally) an Army Officer and they start to send letters back in forth. Even after the start of the Civil War, they continue to send letters back in forth and manage to fall in love. What will happen when Elizabeth's letters are discovered by her father? Will she be able to keep in contact with her forbidden love?
