Allison and I make our way up the steps to the McCall house. As soon as we make it to the top, the door swings open.
“Hey, guys!” Scott chimes, in a green sweater.
“Hi, is this the house where that one- hot guy is hosting a Christmas party?” Allison asked with a mischievous smirk across her face.
“Oh my god. Absolutely not.” I yelled, walking inside while Scott and Allison started their make-out session. I walk to the kitchen to find Stiles pulling burnt bread out of the oven.
“Gordan Ramsey? Is that you?” I ask, clearly narking on his bread. He was about to snark back, but then looked at our sweaters.
“Wait- we are matching!” He exclaimed
I looked down at my sweater, with a ginormous cat on the front with laser beams coming from its eyes. I looked up to his, and noticed the exact replicated design.
“What are the odds, Stilinski?” I giggled.
“And what are the odds that I knew that you would burn the bread?” I ask, unwrapping the loaf, and putting it in place of the burnt one.
“It's like we are telepathic, or something.” Stiles chuckled, observing the bread.
“Okay so listen,” I stated, trying to regain his attention.
“Mia is bringing her little brother because he apparently needs friends. So please, please please be nice.”
“No problemo.” He smirked.
The doorbell rang, and seconds later, Lydia walked into the kitchen with Jackson trailing behind her, carrying everything he possibly could.
Sydney came next, carrying a box of store-bought cookies.
Everyone sat in the living room in a circle, chatting about all the things they were planning to do for Christmas.
“Yeah. So then after the cruise, I’m going to Hawaii. And then-” I stopped listening. I didn’t need to hear Lydia talk about how much money she had.
“Did you zone out too?” I whisper to Sydney, who was sitting beside me.
“You already know.” She giggled.
The doorbell rang.
“That must be Mia.” Scott stated, getting up as quickly as possible to flee the bland conversation.
“Mia?” Allison asked, looking at Stiles.
“She’s Derek's girlfriend.” Sydney stated. We all got quiet, eavesdropping on the conversing voices at the door.
“Hey, what's up Mia?”
“Hello! Derek is running a little late, as always. He should be here shortly though. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to meeting you guys more! Derek has told me quite a bit about y’all”
“It's nice to meet you. I’m Scott.” There was some scurrying, probably some shaking of hands.
“This is my brother- nfskjdfh” The voice was muffled out by Jackson re-adjusting himself. We all shot him a dirty look.
“What?” He asked, pretending to play the victim.
Mia quickly walked in, and sat right next to Sydney and I. Even though she was a little older than us, we didn’t really care. She fit right into our trio.
“Hey guys! What is Jackson’s deal? He keeps glancing over at me. You know what, let him. If he doesn’t stop by the time Derek gets here, I think we will be getting quite the show. Anyways, I’m gonna go check on my little bro, make sure he’s not breaking too many hearts or anything.” She throws us a wink, and then walks off.
Sydney and I giggled. I walked over to Stiles, and we started to talk about all the possible ways he could have not burned the bread.
“I could have put the oven at 150 degrees with a flashlight and just stared at it for a good few hours.” He contemplated.
“You could have set a timer.” I shrugged, knowing fully well what kind of person he was, and that he would of course set a timer. He probably set three.
“I set five different timers!” He whisper-shouted. I giggled, because I knew I was right.
“It’s so bad, I can’t even- hey what's up dude!” Stiles gestured to the two boys entering the room.
Scott stood in the front of the room. I wasn't paying attention to the boy at all, because I was trying to make out the design on Scotts sweater. It was like an abstract shape that looked like an ornament, snowman, and Christmas tree all at the same time.
