從相交的由來開始，點明相交的目的、條件、障礙、修復、危機、對策、維持與發展，示以相交之生命的本質乃是聖潔、公義、美善、真實、愛，信徒已因正確的信仰而具有此相交所需的生命，故只要發揮、彰顯此生命的特質，必能獲致喜樂充足的結果。

「我們將所看見，所聽見的，傳給你們，使你們與我們相交，我們乃是與父並祂兒子耶穌基督相交的。」(一3)
