甘家祖父因逃避戰亂，從廣州逃來香港，由揸「大水煲」到在深水埗開一間燒臘飯店「甘興記」，從此甘家三代人踏着香港半世紀的城市發展歷史，開始了三代人的燒臘命運。

一間面臨土地發展要清拆的鄉郊飯店，滿載兩段父子感情，在今天任何東西都用金錢衡量價值的香港，感情可以用金錢來補償嗎？堅守着自己的土地，是野蠻的阻止城市進步，還是堅守一份傳統價值？

放棄了祖業與土地，換回幾百呎「偽豪宅」與劏房，究竟時代是進步了，還是我們退步了？一個香港人自己故事，一份對土地的回憶。
