『和達梅爾帝』帝國自古以來就是非常注重階級制度的一個國家，一共分為5個階級：、天龍族、皇族、貴族、平名和奴隸。然而經過了好幾個世代，人民不想再過這種階級制度的自我意識越來越強強烈，紛紛上階抗議。中央政府決定讓年輕人自己為家人和自己帶來更多的幸福，每9年舉辦一次一場可以改變階級的遊戲。

        由被選出來15～20歲的少年少女來玩遊，一共有五關打到哪關就可以接受這個階級應有的待遇。一開始不分層級強制參加，中途亦可退出遊戲，階級一樣照闖關數來排，也有一次保命機會。

       剛推出時世人都相當滿意，不過事實上只有參與過遊戲的人才能夠體會到那之中的可怕之處！
