故事發生在未來世界一個稱為港都的高科技都市。這個高科技都市由一種特別物料製成的天幕包裹着，半透明的外型有如一個大金魚缸一般。住在高科技都市裡的居民都以一串數字作為名字，朋友之間會以暱稱來互相稱呼。

主線圍繞一個住在高科技都市的十五歲少女+500230-6 （暱稱：小綠），從她開始準備畢業考察的旅程展開。畢業考察是每個高科技都市的畢業生在完成基本教育課程前，為期一年左右的外地考察課題。

本作品由多篇短故事組成，從不同主要角色的角度描述，記錄小綠與別不同的畢業考察奇遇，解開關於小綠的暱稱，高科技都市的背景和人類世界給抹走了的歷史等種種秘密。在眾多角色的對話和思考中，陪伴小綠走過這段特別的成長經歷，完成她的考察報告。

本故事純粹虛構，如有雷同，實屬...你我所造成的一個巧合而已。
