父親在整理兒子的遺物時，意外發現一本名為《就是想你》的日記本，裡頭記載著兒子與一個男孩交往的片段。

父親央求男孩把他和兒子的故事告訴他，男孩在喪禮結束後，一邊翻著這本日記、一邊說著故事。

5年後，男孩把這段故事用文字彙集成一部長篇小說並取名為《就是想你》，送給這位父親，一起紀念他們人生中最重要的人。
