    本部小說分為二部曲，第一部曲《孕記》是講述很多夫妻婚後都想有小孩，但懷孕並不是一件容易的事，有很多夫妻結婚多年，仍未得到「好消息」。假如渴求已久的「好消息」有天降臨，就如中了頭獎般興奮。不過，懷胎十月，準媽媽在每個孕期都會遇到不同的身體變化，在孩子還未瓜瓜落地前，真是一步一驚心!這部小說正正就是描寫每位準母親在懷孕時的種種經歷與心路歷程，帶出孕育生命的過程實在不易。


    而第二部曲是《育記》，講述新手媽媽在「卸貨」後，才意識到種種育兒的艱辛，情況比懷孕時更困難，究竟會遇到甚麼困難呢？這部小說將會一一道出。
