【創九9】「我與你們和你們的後裔立約；」

〔呂振中譯〕「『看哪，我同你們、以及你們以後的苗裔、堅立我的約；」

﹝原文直譯﹞「看哪，我與你們和你們的後裔，堅立我的約。」

﹝文意註解﹞「約」：是雙方互相同意締結的一種關係，有約束力，有一定履行的義務。實際上，人並無守約的能力，故神與人立約，乃是神對人的賞賜；祂甘願降卑自己，置祂自己於受約束的地位。
