〔呂振中譯〕「亞當又和妻子同房，妻子就生了一個兒子，並給他起名叫塞特，意思是說：『神給我立了另一個後裔來代替亞伯，因為該隱殺了他。』」

﹝原文字義﹞「塞特」新苗，茁芽，設立，代替，償還。
