【創三18】「地必給你長出荊棘和蒺藜來，你也要吃田間的菜蔬。」

〔呂振中譯〕「土地必給你長出荊棘和蒺藜來；你也必吃田間的菜蔬；」

﹝文意註解﹞荊棘和蒺藜，表明人在生活環境中所遭遇的種種難處。

﹝靈意註解﹞「荊棘和蒺藜」：是受咒詛的表號；主耶穌在十字架上戴荊棘冠冕，表明祂擔當了罪惡的咒詛。

﹝話中之光﹞(一)信徒在世上雖也有苦難，但在主裏卻有平安(約十六33)。
